Cleanse & Condition is a handcrafted 8oz sulfate-free shampoo built on a foundation of traditional African Black Soap — made from cocoa pods, sun-dried plantain, and shea tree bark — blended with Jamaican black castor oil, sweet almond oil, tamanu oil, and jojoba oil.
It's made to gently clarify the scalp and remove buildup without stripping hair of the moisture it needs, leaving hair feeling soft, hydrated, and manageable instead of dry and tangled.
It was created for myself. I loved what black soap did for my hair, but on its own it left it dry. I fortified it with the oils that worked best to fix that, and this shampoo was born.
The formula logic: African Black Soap is a time-honored West African cleanser, traditionally made from ash and plant oils, used here as the foundation for its deep-clarifying reputation. Jamaican black castor oil and sweet almond oil reduce breakage and strengthen strands from root to tip. Tamanu and jojoba oils bring the moisture back that raw black soap strips away, while olive oil and castor oil add the conditioning richness that keeps hair from feeling dry or tangled.
How to use: Shake well. Apply to wet scalp and hair, massage to lather, let sit 1–2 minutes, and rinse thoroughly.

Smells like: peppermint and tea tree lead with a fresh, invigorating mint, rounded out by ylang ylang and lavender's soft floral base.
